Chicago and The Pirate

about a week ago, after about 24 hours of driving, crossing Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and a lil bit of Illinois finally we got to sycamore, IL. yay! first i m gonna say sorry to rizkya because i had no time to hang out with her at Chicago :(. my mom had had the plan for us. I'm so sorry kya!
okay so after gramma betsy welcomed us in front of the house, or maybe she welcomed us not on purpose. lol because she was right in front of the door and wanted to get in the house, then with bla bla bla and bla we talked here and there, we packed our thing out. i got gramma's room. i really like this house. altho it's not two stories, it has a basement. i cannot tell how beautiful is this house. not that fancy, but elegant. anyways, we got to see 'our' cousins, Meredith, 12, and Mathew,10, then we play in the backyard, again what a pretty house and pretty back yard! there is a little dam back there. that is just so pretty. anyways we played together. 'football', hide and seek in the house, which made me feel uncomfortable, because you know it's not my house and i just walked around and seek something in it. but okay then i still enjoy this game. that afternoon, i was pretty much enjoy the reunion between this family. tired? yeah, go to bed was what i looked forward to.

the next day, we got to see Chicago. yippee! we took 2 cars (because we took our primos, tios, y abuelos as well). after about an hour of driving (we drive again!) we finally got at this awesome muse called Field Museum. that was fun. i cant tell the whole content. because there are too much stuff. but the most interesting is the pirates and the underground exhibition.
in the pirate thing, it told us how did pirate start and there were couples of names that influenced a lot in this pirates business. there is this ship called whydah. this expedition start from Africa across the Atlantic ocean to the Caribbean in the 17 century. this ship brought a lot of slave from Ethiopia. with a lot of battle and some other thing, this ship finally was taken over by the slaves. and the slaves finally own that ship and still using it as pirate ship. there are couple names that often mentioned in this exhibition: sam belammy and there is a 11 years old kid that i forget the name. the end of this ship it self was so tragic. it sank when the hurican attacked the atlantic ocean. anyways, that was fun.

the other thing is we enjoyed to see the prehistoric life in the earth. start from the earth was created until there are bunch of creature in the world. anyways i really enjoyed when i gotta see the fossil of T-rex. that was huge. gramma betsy said that it is the one of the biggest fossil that ever found in the world. that was cool. i gotta see the other fossil of the cute animal. bear! lol. that scared me. that was so much bigger than the bear now adays. after we gotta se bunch of thing in this museum, we went home. that was so sad tho, because i want to stop by at the lake michigan, but i couldn't. that was so cold and windy, also we were all tired and really wanted to go home like soon. i'm sure i can go back to chicago in college! amieen.

ok time to go!!! byee

7 STATES to GO

thursday right after break start at 4.30 pm, all of the members of my family but dad, were on our drive way and ready to pull the gas up. we had packed all the things, including pillow and blanket. yay! finally i got to see another part of the country! altho other exchange students spent their break at the pleasant place like florida, california, or las vegas well i dont care. nebraska is a nice place to go too, altho itwasn't that pretty like in the summer. it was still unbreakable (nah!).

i was in the middle left said on the van. that was pretty confy at least in the first four hours of driving, the rest of it, blah, i was like the old lady who always swears because the pain in her butt, ups i mean in her back. we tried not to get bored tho. and finally after found a nice place to have a diner (read: burger king) we stayed at the nice hotel (read: holiday inn) at pensylvania. we spent one night in this hotel which let the consumers use the pool in one hotel next door (read: they dont have pool!)

driving again, PA-OH-IN-IL four states! i'm happy tho, i guess none of my friends got chance to see four states in a day like me. 9 hours of driving, we got there at gramma betsy at 5 o'clock. the wind was blowing so hard. mom teased gramma that middle west (or east) is always like this. gramma just argue that it wasn't always like that. i dont know for real tho

we met 'our cousins' meredith and matthew a while after we packed out our things. we played in the back yard which is pretty cool because this neighborhood has like a little lake which for dam for the raindrops. and the next day the adventure in chicago and the eggs hunting began.
you can read about what i was doing in chicago and on the easter day the next post. i dont wanna overwhelm this post just for all the details in my 11 days of traveling.

after two days i was in the rest time (read: not in the car all day long). then i was continuing my journey to nebraska. IL-IA-NE 3 states more guys! i couldn't wait to see what nebraska looks like.

i'm sorry i couldn't afford to take a good picture. at least i know this corn state is a huge flat land where if you stuck in one place you wouldn't know where else to go because it's like in the middle of nowhere. which is pretty cool, because i wanna bring some people in my country to life here so then they can grow more food in my country because they now build houses on the farm land. i wish i could!

at last but not least. i could see the other family. yippy! more kids more fun. i will tell you later. enough. byeee

Eggs hunting, awww

yesterday, april 13 was easter day. yay! eggs hunting was the best part. altho there was a little missing link between us and grandma, but whatever, we still can do eggs hunt. start from the morning when my siblings woke me up, then we started to hunt the eggs. but tadaa, our cousins had been in there yet, and grandma told us not to hunt eggs until they got there. that's not fair! that was she said. well then we put back where the eggs were and started to mumble because we were working hard to hunt em. then i decided to look nice in front of my cousins by taking a shower(i didnt take a shower the night before). but they came in the middle of my shower. gosh! i gotta rush. they told me that they couldnt wait for me to get done my shower. i rushed my shower then when i went out. the all eggs outside were gone. grandma told me where the other inside eggs were, there were just two eggs though inside. but that was good, at least i could find some.
altho i just got two eggs, not literally, because my brother gave me some of him, my siblings and my cousin shared their eggs, so we all got them fairly. inside the eggs there were candies, chocolate, tattoo, and this gummy thingy. the easter bunny, grandpa and grandpa gave us the target gift card and bunch of other eggs. we had a lot of fun. then the afternoon there were the neighbors; kylie, kelsea, and their dad. they are just so cute. they are almost 2 and 4. we played together and spent the nice windy day outside by playing with them and drawing out bunny and our body shape on the drive way. that was just the most beautiful easter day in my life.
after we played with our cousin and these neighbors, momma took us to the theatre. with a little bit sight seeing in this little town, sycamore, we found one theatre that were gonna show hannah montana the movie, fast and furious, and monsters vs aliens. altho actually i was more interested in hannah montana the movie (i'm not that fan of it) but then because the rest of the family wanted to watch this monster vs aliens and momma didnt let me to be alone, so we finally watched this monster thingy. the film was okay. altho it is far from what i think and expected.

well the day went by so fast, that was pretty fun tho. my first and last easter in my life. time to pack up and ready went west to nebraska guys! 9 hours driving coming!
